 Dawn Rolt

Dawn Rolt (soprano) studied Singing and Keyboard at Trinity College of Music and was later awarded their Hannam Clark prize (for the best performance in the year - in any subject - at grade 8). She now studies with John Noble, and is reviving her solo career after a break while her children were very young (one is musical; the other wants to be a drummer).

Her operatic roles to date comprise Emmy (Albert Herring), Jane (Salad Days), Jupy (Orpheus), Nanetta (Falstaff), Despina (Cosi fan Tutte), Frasquita (Carmen), Belinda (Dido), Gretel (Hansel & Gretel), Lucinda (Rape of Lucretia), Isolier (Rossini's Comte D'Ory) and Papagena (Magic Flute), with a number of companies including Abbey Opera, Richmond Opera and the Company of Singers.

Other works have included Seven Last Words (Haydn), Messiah, Carmina Burana, Stabat Mater (Pergolesi), Mozart Requiem, and most recently Handel's Solomon with the Chiswick Choir.

Future plans include Blonde in Il Seraglio (Mozart) in June 2000 with the Company of Singers, and the St John Passion (Bach) with the Chiswick Choir in March 2001.
