 Jeremy Watkins

Jeremy Watkins enjoys diversity in his music making.  During the recent years he has sung the title role in Eugene Onegin, Renato in Verdi's A Masked Ball, and Sgt Belcore in L'Elisir D'Amore - all for Bristol Opera - the latter staged at Bristol Old Vic, as well as Melchoir in Amahl and The Night Visitors for Pied Piper in Clifton Cathedral, Bristol, Timur in Turandot and Germont Père in Traviata.  Concert performances have included performances in major works including Aeneas in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Judas in Elgar's The Apostles (with Steve Foulkes singing Jesus), Fauré's Requiem, the Earl of Essex in Merrie England, Pharoah in Rossini's Moses and, in November, Elijah for Thornbury Choral and Orchestral Society.

Apart from having sung under the distinguished batons of Sir Colin Davis, Sir Michael Tippett and Sir Yehudi Menuhin he can also claim to having provided the backing for Adge Cutler and The Wurzels.  He has devised a number of words and music entertainments for performance at National Trust and other venues.
