About Dawn Rolt

Dawn Rolt (soprano) studied Singing and Keyboard at Trinity College of Music with John Wakefield, and subsequently with Madge Stephens and John Noble. She teaches at a girls' preparatory school in Notting Hill, and is reviving her solo career after a break while her children were young.

Her operatic roles to date comprise Emmy (Albert Herring), Jane (Salad Days), Jupy (Orpheus), Nanetta (Falstaff), Despina (Cosi fan Tutte), Frasquita (Carmen), Belinda (Dido), Gretel (Hansel & Gretel), Lucinda (Rape of Lucretia), Isolier (Rossini's Comte D'Ory), Blonde in Il Seraglio (Mozart) and Papagena (Magic Flute), with a number of companies including Abbey Opera, Richmond Opera and the Company of Singers.

Other works have included Seven Last Words (Haydn), Messiah, Carmina Burana, Stabat Mater (Pergolesi), Mozart Requiem, St John Passion (Bach) and Handel's Solomon with the Chiswick Choir.
