About Jeremy Valentine

Jeremy Valentine started singing as a choirboy in his local church when 8 years old, before graduating to solo roles with the school choir. A love for theatre was developed while performing G&S operettas at Exeter University, while studying for a BSc (Hons) in Geology, and his first full operatic role was as Don Basilo (Marriage of Figaro) for Opera Ventura.

Jeremy currently works as a senior geologist for an American oil company, and studies singing with Jeffrey Talbot. His many choral performances have included Hiawatha's Wedding Feast, in the Methodist Hall at Westminster, and Rossini's Petite Messe Solonelle at Dartington, while his operatic roles have featured him as Rimuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Belmonte (Seraglio), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Albert (Albert Herring), Tamino (Magic Flute), Count Almaviva (Barber of Seville) with Park Opera, Alfredo (La Traviata) and the lead in the European premiere of Tremonisha by Scott Joplin.
