About Neil Jordan

Neil Jordan was born in Bristol and educated at Clifton College and later as a choral scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge. After graduating with a degree in Biological Anthropology he spent a year singing with various Opera and Early Music groups in The Netherlands, Belgium and Italy, returning to the UK to take up the post of Tenor Lay Clerk at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. For seven years he sang at Windsor in regular services, recordings and concerts including performing as a Tenor soloist at the Queen's 70th Birthday Concert.

Neil now sings in opera, recital and oratorio and balances his time between studying, singing with Linda Esther Gray, and working for the software company Microsoft.

Recent roles include Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Tamino (Magic Flute), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Fenton (Falstaff), Alfredo (Die Fledermaus), Pluto (Orpheus in the Underworld) and Ralph Rackstraw (HMS Pinafore). Future plans this spring (2002) include Alfredo (La Traviata) and Beethoven's Choral Symphony.
